Amanda Quinn Olivar
Contributor, Los Angeles

I’ve always been driven by storytelling—connecting art, ideas, and people. At 10, I landed an interview with Andy Warhol during his magazine signing at Brentano’s bookstore in Los Angeles, in front of a crowd. It truly pushed me out of my comfort zone—it was awesome.  Born and raised in L.A., I’ve collaborated on exhibitions across the country and produced films like Seeing Is Believing: Women Direct and Burnt Feathers, Broken Wings, created for Kids in the Spotlight, an organization empowering foster youth through filmmaking. Most recently, I helped bring Austin Pendleton’s Orson’s Shadow back to the New York stage. Serving on the boards of The Smithsonian’s Archives of American Art, Axial Theatre, The Chimaera Project and Friends of Zandra Rhodes lets me work alongside some seriously brilliant visionaries.

At the end of the day—we hope you stay curious, learn, share, and take a big jump forward with all of us here at Curator!
